Flyers RW Lupul injured
Jan 6, 2008 - 4:21 AM TORONTO (Ticker) -- Philadelphia Flyers right wing Joffrey Lupul left Saturday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first period with a head injury.Lupul, who was injured after teammate Derian Hatcher attempted to deliver a hit on Toronto's Alex Steen, did not return.
"'Big Hatch' got me," Lupul said. "It was kind of a fluke play. I was backchecking and Hatch came to hit the guy (Steen). I banged my head on the ice and the big man rolled over me.
"(I have) a little bit of a headache and (I'm) a little dizzy, but nothing serious. I think they kept me out for precautionary reasons."
