Flyers RW Upshall injured

Feb 7, 2008 - 2:08 AM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Philadelphia Flyers right wing Scottie Upshall left Wednesday's game against the Washington Capitals in the second period with a high right ankle sprain.

Upshall, who has eight goals and nine assists in 38 games this season, will not return. The 24-year-old will be re-evaluated on Thursday.

A native of Alberta, Upshall missed time earlier this season with ankle and wrist injuries.

Drafted sixth overall by Nashville in 2002, Upshall was acquired from the Predators last February 15 in the deal involving Peter Forsberg. He has recorded 25 goals and 34 assists in 133 career games with the Predators and Flyers.
