Flyers could be without Lupul
Feb 17, 2008 - 7:42 PM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Mired in a six-game losing streak, the Philadelphia Flyers could be without right wing Joffrey Lupul for Sunday's contest against the Montreal Canadiens.Lupul, 24, suffered a high right ankle sprain in Saturday's 1-0 loss at Montreal in the opener of the weekend home-and-home series.
Lupul, who left Saturday's contest in the first period, will be evaluated prior to Sunday's game, according to the Flyers' web site.
He has played in four contests since missing a month with a spinal chord contusion suffered on January 4. In 44 contests this season, the Alberta native has registered 18 goals and 21 assists.
Philadelphia's current losing streak matches a season high for the Flyers, who also dropped six in a row from December 13-22.
