Hurricanes activate RW Eaves
Feb 26, 2008 - 8:13 PM RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Patrick Eaves is finally ready to suit up for the Carolina Hurricanes.The Hurricanes on Tuesday activated the right wing, who was suffering from shoulder and neck injuries, from injured reserve.
Acquired on February 11 along with defenseman Joseph Corvo from the Ottawa Senators, Eaves is expected to make his Hurricanes debut on Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils.
Eaves, 23, has played in 26 games this season, recording four goals and six assists. He missed his final six games with Ottawa and his first seven games with Carolina after being injured at Tampa Bay on January 24.
In 157 NHL regular-season games, Eaves has 38 goals and 33 assists.
