Red Wings activate D Kronwall
Feb 29, 2008 - 12:19 AM DETROIT (Ticker) -- The Detroit Red Wings on Thursday activated defenseman Niklas Kronwall from injured reserve and assigned fellow blue-liner Kyle Quincey to Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League.Kronwall was placed on IR retroactive to January 30, when he suffered a left shoulder sprain in a 3-2 win over the Phoenix Coyotes.
Kronwall, 26, has five goals and 20 assists in 48 games for the Red Wings this season.
Quincey did not record a point in six games with the Red Wings this season. In 13 career contests, the 22-year-old has one goal and four penalty minutes.
