Sabres D Spacek leaves game

Mar 11, 2008 - 12:27 AM BUFFALO, New York (Ticker) -- Buffalo Sabres defenseman Jaroslav Spacek left Monday's game against the New York Rangers after one period with an upper body injury.

He will not return.

The 34-year-old Spacek has notched nine goals and 31 points in 58 games this season.

The Sabres also were without blue-liner Nathan Paetsch for several shifts in the second period after he was drilled into the boards by Rangers left wing Sean Avery. He returned later in the session, however.
