Mar 12, 2008 - 4:22 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Dallas Stars center Steve Ott on Wednesday received a three-game suspension for his hit to the head of Colorado Avalanche defenseman Jordan Leopold in the first period of Sunday's game.Ott appeared to leave his feet to make the hit against Leopold along the boards but was not assessed a penalty. Leopold missed the final two periods of Colorado's 3-0 loss with a head injury and did not play in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Atlanta Thrashers.
Ott will miss Thursday's game at Detroit and home contests against Vancouver and Anaheim. He will be eligible to return on March 22, when the Stars host the Los Angeles Kings.
