Senators RW Alfredsson leaves game
Apr 4, 2008 - 12:30 AM TORONTO (Ticker) -- Ottawa Senators right wing Daniel Alfredsson left Thursday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs late in the first period after taking a vicious shot to the head from Mark Bell.Alfredsson, 36, fell to the ice immediately after Bell came skating in and delivered a shoulder to the side of the unsuspecting Senators captain's head with 2:13 remaining in the opening period.
The return of Alfredsson, who set up both of Ottawa's first-period goals, is questionable.
The hit agitated the Senators, who started several fights in the ensuing minutes.
No one has shouted yet.
