Stars sign D Grossman to extension
Apr 7, 2008 - 4:55 PM FRISCO, Texas (Ticker) -- The Dallas Stars on Monday signed 23-year-old defenseman Nicklas Grossman to a two-year contract extension worth $1.95 million.Grossman will make $900,000 next season and $1.05 million the following year. His current entry-level contract was set to expire at the end of this season.
"Nicklas has played very well on our blue line this season, and we are very excited about his development," Stars co-general manager Les Jackson said. "We look forward to his continued progress over the next two seasons."
Grossman played in 62 games for the Stars this season, recording seven assists while averaging 15.33 minutes of ice time.
The native of Sweden originally was selected by Dallas in the second round of the 2004 draft.
