D Hatcher, LW Thoresen return for Flyers
Apr 15, 2008 - 11:20 PM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- As they look to gain the edge in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series, the Philadelphia Flyers welcomed back a pair of injured players.Defenseman Derian Hatcher and left wing Patrick Thoresen returned to the lineup for the Flyers on Tuesday for Game Three of the conference quarterfinals against the Washington Capitals.
The 35-year-old Hatcher suffered a fractured right tibia against Boston on March 15 and missed the final 10 games of the regular season as well as the first two contests of this series. In 44 games this campaign, the veteran recorded two goals, five assists and 33 penalty minutes.
Thoresen, 24, injured his groin when he was hit by a slap shot from Washington's Alex Ovechkin in Game One. The Norwegian, who sat out Game Two, was claimed off waivers from Edmonton on February 22 and combined to registered two goals and six assists in 38 games with the Oilers and Flyers this season.
