Stars C Modano returns

May 13, 2008 - 1:59 AM DALLAS (Ticker) -- Dallas Stars center Mike Modano, who left Game Three of the Western Conference finals against the Detroit Red Wings on Monday late in the second period with an undisclosed injury, returned to action in the third.

With three minutes remaining in the second, Modano was on the receiving end of a hard check by Kris Draper in the right corner of the offensive zone and crumpled to the ice. After getting up slowly, Modano immediately skated off the ice and retreated to the locker room.

Modano recorded an assist, his 11th point in 15 postseason games, on Dallas' first goal of the game.
