Pandolfo uncertain on future with Devils

May 20, 2008 - 7:10 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- New Jersey Devils left wing Jay Pandolfo is uncertain whether the team will re-sign him, the New York Post reported Tuesday.

Pandolfo, 33, finished his 11th season with the Devils, recording 12 goals and 12 assists in 58 games.

According to the report, no talks have begun to keep Pandolfo in New Jersey. He would become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

"There's really no rush," Pandolfo told the Post. "I don't know what's going to happen. But we have a lot of time before July 1."

The veteran had played all 82 games each of the previous three campaigns before a groin injury forced him to miss 28 contests this past season. Pandolfo's consecutive games streak ended at 307, the fourth-longest in franchise history.

During his career, Pandolfo has 90 goals and 114 assists in 706 games. He also helped the Devils win the Stanley Cup in 2000 and 2003.
