Devils re-sign Ds Brookbank, Mottau
May 22, 2008 - 10:08 PM NEWARK, New Jersey (Ticker) -- The New Jersey Devils on Thursday re-signed free agent defensemen Sheldon Brookbank and Mike Mottau.Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Brookbank, 27, who recorded eight assists and 63 penalty minutes in 44 games for New Jersey last season, also had an assist in three games for Columbus before being waived by the Blue Jackets on October 2.
Mottau, 30, who registered four goals and 17 points in 76 regular-season games for the Devils, also had a tally in New Jersey's five-game playoff loss to the New York Rangers.
