Stars sign Daley to three-year deal
May 28, 2008 - 9:02 PM FRISCO, Texas (Ticker) -- The Dallas Stars have signed defenseman Trevor Daley to a three-year contract worth $6.9 million, the club announced Wednesday.Daley, 24, registered five goals and 24 points with 85 penalty minutes in 82 games for Dallas this past season. The 5-11, 207-pound blue-liner was one of only players to appear in all 82 regular-season games in 2007-08.
Daley also recorded one goal and 20 penalty minutes in 18 postseason games for the Stars.
"At just 24 years of age, Trevor continues to grow as a hockey player, and we are looking for his game to improve over the next three years," Stars co-general manager Les Jackson said. "He is a valuable member of our hockey club and is a key part to our strong nucleus of younger players."
Selected 43rd overall in the 2002, Daley has scored 13 goals and 56 points in 264 career NHL games.
