Rangers D Rozsival to have hip surgery
Jun 11, 2008 - 3:25 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- New York Rangers defenseman Michal Rozsival will undergo surgery on his left hip Wednesday.The operation, which will repair a labral tear in the hip, will be performed by Dr. Marc Philippon at Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado.
Rozsival, 29, will be sidelined up to six weeks but should be fully recovered by the beginning of training camp.
One of New York's top blue-liners, Rozsival scored a career-high 13 goals and 38 points in 80 games for the Rangers this past season.
