Flames acquire LW Greentree from Flyers
Jul 1, 2008 - 12:41 AM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Calgary Flames acquired left wing Kyle Greentree on Monday from the Philadelphia Flyers for defenseman Tim Ramholt.The 24-year-old Greentree, who was scoreless in two games with the Flyers last season, tallied 24 goals and 48 points with 83 penalty minutes for the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League.
Ramholt, 23, collected four tallies and 20 assists with the AHL's Quad City Flames in 2007-08. He also was scoreless in one game with Calgary.
The Flyers also have placed defenseman Denis Gauthier Jr. on waivers for the purpose of buying him out, according to a report from TSN of Canada. Gauthier spent the entire 2007-08 season in the AHL, posting three goals and 15 assists with a plus-16 rating and 80 penalty minutes.
