Jul 3, 2008 - 12:47 AM FRISCO, Texas (Ticker) -- The Dallas Stars on Wednesday re-signed right wing B.J. Crombeen to a one-year, $550,000 contract.

Crombeen, 22, who made his NHL debut on January 19 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, recorded two assists and 39 penalty minutes in eight regular-season games for Dallas. He went scoreless in five playoff contests.

"B.J. has been with us for a number of years now and has flourished through our development process," Stars co-general manager Les Jackson said. "He has gained some really valuable experience and his game is to the point where he is ready to take the next step. He is knocking on the door of the NHL."

Drafted 54th overall in 2003, Crombeen also registered 14 goals and 28 points in 65 games for Iowa of the American Hockey League in 2007-08.
