Thrashers re-sign LW Boulton
Jul 9, 2008 - 7:15 PM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- In one of a number of moves made Wednesday, the Atlanta Thrashers re-signed left wing Eric Boulton to a multi-year contract extension.The Thrashers did not reveal terms of the deal for the 31-year-old Boulton, who played in a career-high 74 games for the Thrashers last season.
The 6-1, 225-pounder has spent seven seasons in the NHL with the Buffalo Sabres and Thrashers. Last season, he matched a personal best with four goals while adding five assists and collecting 127 minutes in penalties.
Originally taken by the New York Rangers in the ninth round of the 1994 draft, the Nova Scotia native signed with Atlanta on August 8, 2005.
The Thrashers also signed free agent right wings Junior Lessard and Grant Stevenson and defenseman Mike Hoffman.
Lessard skated in 21 games last season with the Dallas Stars and Tampa Bay Lightning, while Stevenson and Hoffman spent the season in the American Hockey League.
