Canadiens sign C Lehoux
Jul 25, 2008 - 11:46 PM MONTREAL (Ticker) -- The Montreal Canadiens on Friday signed center Yanick Lehoux to a one-year contract.Financial terms were not disclosed.
A third-round pick of Los Angeles in 2000, Lehoux split last season between San Antonio of the American Hockey League and Khimik of the Russian Super League. In seven games with the Rampage, the 26-year-old recorded a goal and three assists.
A native of Montreal, the 6-foot, 200-pound Lehoux appeared in 10 games over parts of two seasons with the Phoenix Coyotes from 2005-07, notching two goals and two assists.
