Senators re-sign LW Vermette
Jul 31, 2008 - 2:54 PM OTTAWA (Ticker) -- The Ottawa Senators rewarded Antoine Vermette for a career season, re-signing the left wing to a two-year contract Thursday.Financial terms were not disclosed.
Vermette, 25, registered career highs in both goals (24) and assists (29) last season while playing in 81 games. The Quebec native was one of six Senators with at least 20 goals.
Ottawa's second-round pick in 2000, Vermette has collected 71 goals and 139 points in 297 career games.
