Flames re-sign LW Cunning

Aug 8, 2008 - 9:13 PM CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Calgary Flames on Friday re-signed restricted free-agent left wing Cam Cunning to a contract.

Terms were not disclosed.

An eighth-round pick in 2003, Cunning spent last season with Quad Cities of the American Hockey League, recording 11 goals and four assists in 68 games. The 23-year-old native of British Columbia also collected 80 penalty minutes.

In 2006-07, the 6-1, 213-pound Cunning notched 12 goals and 17 points in 60 contests with Omaha of the AHL.
