LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Kings signed their second first-round pick of this past June's draft on Thursday, inking defenseman Colten Teubert to a three-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Teubert was selected with the 13th pick of the draft after recording seven goals and 16 assists in 66 games for Regina of the Western Hockey League last season.

The 18-year-old also played for Canada at this year's IIHF World Under-18 Championship.

Teubert was drafted 11 spots after the Kings selected fellow defenseman Drew Doughty, who signed a three-year deal earlier this month.
