Blackhawks ink C Brent to one-year deal

Aug 28, 2008 - 11:15 PM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- The Chicago Blackhawks finally got Tim Brent under wraps Thursday, signing the center to a one-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Chicago acquired Brent from the Pittsburgh Penguins on July 17 for defenseman Danny Richmond. The 24-year-old was scoreless in one game with Pittsburgh last season but recorded 18 goals and 43 assists in 74 contests with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.
