Blackhawks ink C Brent to one-year deal
Aug 28, 2008 - 11:15 PM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- The Chicago Blackhawks finally got Tim Brent under wraps Thursday, signing the center to a one-year contract.Financial terms were not disclosed.
Chicago acquired Brent from the Pittsburgh Penguins on July 17 for defenseman Danny Richmond. The 24-year-old was scoreless in one game with Pittsburgh last season but recorded 18 goals and 43 assists in 74 contests with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.
A third-round pick of Anaheim in 2004, Brent has notched one goal and six penalty minutes in 16 career NHL games with the Ducks and Penguins.
