Sabres agree with RW Pominville on five-year extension
Sep 18, 2008 - 7:35 PM BUFFALO, New York (Ticker) -- The Buffalo Sabres secured the services of one of their cornerstones Thursday, agreeing to terms with right wing Jason Pominville on a five-year contract extension.Financial terms were not disclosed.
Pominville, 25, is coming off a season in which he established a career high with 80 points (27 goals, 53 assists) while playing in all 82 games. He ranked second on the team in scoring behind Derek Roy.
A native of Repentigny, Quebec, Pominville has 178 points in 222 career games. He was selected by the Sabres in the second round of the 2001 NHL draft.
