Ducks re-sign LW Miller

Sep 19, 2008 - 10:38 PM ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- The Anaheim Ducks remained busy Friday, re-signing left wing Drew Miller to a two-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Earlier in the day, the Ducks inked right wing Teemu Selanne to a tryout contract while the sides continue to negotiate a standard deal.

A restricted free agent, Miller appeared in 26 games with Anaheim last season, recording two goals and three assists. The 24-year-old native of New Jersey made his NHL debut during the Ducks' run to the Stanley Cup championship in 2007, notching two penalty minutes in three playoff contests.

The brother of Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller and a product of Michigan State, the 6-2, 165-pounder also skated in 31 games with Portland of the American Hockey League last season, registering 16 goals and 20 assists.

Anaheim selected Drew Miller in the sixth round of the 2003 draft.
