Ducks assign RW Ryan to AHL affiliate
Oct 3, 2008 - 11:02 PM ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- The Anaheim Ducks on Friday assigned right wing Bobby Ryan - the second overall pick in the 2005 draft - to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Iowa Chops.Ryan was selected by the Ducks after Pittsburgh chose Sidney Crosby first overall but has yet to come anywhere near the achievements of the Penguins' superstar captain.
