Canadiens waive G Denis, D Henry
Oct 5, 2008 - 7:39 PM MONTREAL (Ticker) -- The Montreal Canadiens on Sunday placed goaltender Marc Denis and defenseman Alex Henry on waivers.The 31-year-old Denis signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Canadiens in July.
The Montreal native spent last season with the Tampa Lightning, posting a 1-5-0 record with a 4.05 goals-against average and .859 save percentage.
The 10-year veteran is 112-179-3 with 16 shutouts, a 3.02 GAA and a .902 save percentage with the Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets and Lightning.
Henry, 28, recorded 16 points and 142 penalty minutes with Milwaukee of the American Hockey League last season.
