Sharks re-sign D Semenov, LW Plihal
Oct 8, 2008 - 8:03 PM SAN JOSE, California (Ticker) -- The San Jose Sharks on Wednesday re-signed a pair of unrestricted free agents, defenseman Alexei Semenov and left wing Tomas Plihal, to one-year contracts.Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
In his first year with the Sharks last season, Semenov, 27, played in 22 games, recording a goal and three assists. The four-year veteran also has played with Edmonton and Florida.
Plihal, 25, made his NHL debut for the Sharks last season, also skating in 22 games, and registered two goals and an assist. He also saw action in four playoff games for San Jose.
