Flames D Regehr returns to game

Oct 18, 2008 - 3:09 AM CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- Calgary Flames defenseman Robyn Regehr returned to Friday's game against the Edmonton Oilers in the third period after taking a puck to the throat.

Regehr originally left the contest midway through the second.

The nine-year veteran has recorded 25 goals and 96 assists during his career, spent entirely with the Flames after being acquired in February 1999 from the Colorado Avalanche, who drafted the 28-year-old 19th overall a year earlier. Regehr, who played in all 82 contests last season, was held scoreless in his first two games this season.
