Sabres D Rivet has knee surgery
Oct 22, 2008 - 3:44 PM BUFFALO, New York (Ticker) -- Buffalo Sabres defenseman Craig Rivet will be sidelined at least two weeks after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday morning.The Sabres did not disclose when or how Rivet suffered the injury. Buffalo's captain, Rivet played just over 20 minutes in Tuesday's 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins.
Acquired in a trade with the San Jose Sharks this past July, the 34-year-old Rivet has three assists in six games this season.
