ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- The Dallas Stars on Friday activated defenseman Sergei Zubov from injured reserve.
The veteran is expected to be in the lineup for Friday's game at Anaheim.
Zubov missed all of training camp and the first 12 games of the regular season after undergoing hip surgery in September.
The highest-scoring Russian-born defenseman in NHL history, Zubov is the only defenseman to collect 30 or more assists in each of the last 12 seasons.
On the Stars' franchise all-time lists, he ranks third in games played (829), third in assists (434), and sixth in points (545).
Zubov has appeared in 1,058 NHL games, tallying 152 goals and 615 assists with the Stars, New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins.
