DETROIT (Ticker) -- Detroit Red Wings right wing Johan Franzen scored a goal in his return to the lineup on Tuesday, but the Pittsburgh Penguins skated away with a 7-6 overtime victory in a rematch of last season's Stanley Cup Finals.

Franzen hadn't played since spraining his right medial collateral ligament against the Chicago Blackhawks on October 25.

The Swede suffered the injury on a collision with Chicago defenseman Brent Sopel with 6:55 remaining in the second period of Detroit's 6-5 shootout loss.

Franzen gave Detroit a 3-1 lead just 69 seconds into the second period against the Penguins after defenseman Brooks Orpik misplayed the puck in front of his own net. Franzen collected the puck and swept it into the net.

After helping Detroit capture the Stanley Cup last season with 13 goals and five assists in the playoffs, Franzen has collected six goals and two assists through nine games this season.
