Capitals LW Semin out vs. Devils

Nov 16, 2008 - 12:15 AM NEWARK, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Washington Capitals left wing Alexander Semin was not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the New Jersey Devils.

Semin suffered an undisclosed injury in Friday's 3-1 win over the Devils but was not expected to miss substantial time.

It is unclear when Semin suffered the injury, and the league's leading scorer showed no signs of a problem but did not return after the second period on Friday.

Drafted 13th overall in 2002, the fourth-year Russian leads the NHL with 13 goals, 27 points and a plus-17 rating.
