Capitals LW Semin expected to miss another game
Nov 19, 2008 - 6:33 PM ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- Washington Capitals left wing Alexander Semin is expected to miss his second straight game when the club visits the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday.Semin suffered an upper body injury in Friday's 3-1 win over the New Jersey Devils, and did not play the following day when the teams concluded a home-and-home series in Newark.
The injury was not considered series, but Semin exited practice early on Wednesday and coach Bruce Boudreau said the Russian is listed as doubtful for the game against the Ducks.
Drafted 13th overall in 2002, the fourth-year Russian is second in the NHL with 27 points and is tied for the league lead with 13 goals.
