Blues D Johnson undergoes knee surgery

LOUIS - St. Louis Blues defenseman Erik Johnson underwent successful surgery for a torn ACL in his right knee Wednesday.Dr. Michael Stuart, chief medical officer for USA Hockey, performed the surgery at the Rochester Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. He expects Johnson to make a full recovery.
The No. 1 overall pick in 2006, Johnson initially injured the knee in a golf cart accident prior to preseason camp. He suffered a torn ACL and MCL and was placed on injured reserve on September 23.
Johnson, 20, had five goals and 28 assists in 69 games last season.
