ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- Two days after being demoted, left wing Steve Regier was recalled from Peoria of the American Hockey League by the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old Regier originally was recalled on Sunday and made his debut with the Blues in their 3-2 shootout loss to the Montreal Canadiens that night, scoring both of St. Louis' goals in regulation - the first two of his NHL career. On Monday, the native of Spruce Grove, Alberta was sent back to Peoria, where he has registered nine tallies and eight assists in 15 games.
A fifth-round pick of the New York Islanders in 2004, the 6-5, 200-pound Regier recorded four penalty minutes in 18 contests over parts of three seasons with the Isles before signing with the Blues as a free agent on July 15.
