Canucks recall D Baumgartner

Nov 20, 2008 - 6:59 PM ST. PAUL, Minnesota (Ticker) - The Vancouver Canucks on Thursday recalled defenseman Nolan Baumgartner from Manitoba of the American Hockey League.

In 131 NHL games, the 32-year-old has registered 45 points and 67 penalty minutes. Baumgartner leads all Manitoba defensemen with six points in 12 games this season.

The 6-2, 205-pounder was originally drafted by the Washington Capitals in the first round - 10th overall - of the 1994 NHL draft. He signed with Vancouver as a free agent in July.
