DALLAS (Ticker) -- Dallas Stars left wing Brenden Morrow left Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks in the third period with an undisclosed injury.

The Stars' captain skated off the ice with about six minutes left in the game and did not return. Morrow tallied in the first period to open the scoring and recorded three shots on goal before exiting.

Morrow was able to play in Thursday's game after the NHL rescinded his automatic one-game suspension for instigating a fight with Los Angeles Kings captain Dustin Brown in Dallas' 3-2 shootout loss on November 11.

The 29-year-old Morrow has registered five goals and 10 assists in 18 games this season. Drafted 25th overall in 1997, Morrow has collected 173 tallies and 216 assists in 591 contests over his nine-year career with the Stars.
