Avalanche recall RW Willsie
Nov 22, 2008 - 4:09 PM LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - The Colorado Avalanche on Saturday recalled right wing Brian Willsie from Lake Erie of the American Hockey League.Willsie has compiled 51 goals and 104 points in 334 NHL games, including 15 points with the Avalanche.
This marks his first call-up of the season from Lake Erie, where he leads the Monsters with eight goals, 14 points and a plus-7 rating.
In a corresponding move, the Avalanche placed center Ben Guite on injured reserve - retroactive to November 10 - with an upper body injury. He has two goals and four points in nine games this season.
