Avalanche LW Wolski leaves game after big hit
Nov 23, 2008 - 5:56 AM LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Colorado Avalanche left wing Wojtek Wolski left Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Kings in the third period with an apparent head injury.Wolski, who scored a power-play goal in the second session and notched an assist in the third, was checked into the end boards by Kings defenseman Sean O'Donnell. The Pole's head was sandwiched between O'Donnell's body and the spot where the boards and plexiglass meet, sending Wolski to the ice in a heap.
Wolski remained on his back for a few minutes before being helped off the ice.
The fourth-year pro has recorded two goals and 10 assists in 19 games this season.
