TORONTO (Ticker) -- Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jonas Frogren left Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Chicago Blackhawks early in the second period with an upper body injury and did not return.
The 28-year-old Swede logged 3 minutes, 54 seconds of ice time and registered one shot on goal before departing 4 1/2 minutes into the second period.
"Frogren hurt his arm, not really sure," Maple Leafs coach Ron Wilson said. "Obviously, he couldn't complete the game."
An eighth-round pick of Calgary in 1998 who signed with Toronto as a free agent on July 4, Frogren has recorded one assist and six penalty minutes in 10 games this season, his first in the NHL.
