Savard receives weekly honor
Nov 24, 2008 - 6:07 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Boston Bruins center Marc Savard on Monday was named the NHL's "First Star" of the week.Savard led all players last week with eight points (two goals, six assists) as the Bruins won four straight games and moved into first overall in the Eastern Conference.
Vancouver Canucks center Henrik Sedin, who collected seven assists during a four-game road trip in which his team went 3-0-1, was named the "Second Star."
The "Third Star" went to Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin, who posted a 3-0-0 record with a 2.90 goals-against average and .918 save percentage.
