Kings RW Zeiler suspended three games
Nov 24, 2008 - 9:22 PM TORONTO (Ticker) -- Los Angeles Kings right wing John Zeiler has been suspended for three games without pay, the NHL announced Monday.The suspension came as a result of a boarding incident that took place during Saturday's game against the Colorado Avalanche.
Zeiler was assessed a major penalty for boarding and game misconduct for hitting Colorado defenseman Adam Foote at 6:51 of the second period.
Zeiler will be eligible to return December 1 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Zeiler will forfeit $8,770.17.
