Panthers RW Zednik leaves game
Nov 25, 2008 - 5:46 AM SUNRISE, Florida (Ticker) -- Florida Panthers right wing Richard Zednik left Monday's 3-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes in the second period with an undisclosed injury.Florida coach Peter DeBoer announced after the game that Zednik suffered the injury in the second, but would not elaborate other than that he felt it was a "long-term thing" and that Zednik would most likely be out "for weeks."
The 32-year-old Zednik has three goals and five assists in 20 games this season.
A first-round selection in 1994 by the Washington Capitals, Zednik has 186 goals and 168 assists in 695 games over his 13-year career with the Capitals, Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders and Panthers.
