DETROIT (Ticker) -- Montreal Canadiens left wing Alex Tanguay left Wednesday's game against the Detroit Red Wings in the first period with an undisclosed injury.

Tanguay was hit by veteran defenseman Brad Stuart 6:06 into the first period and will not return to the contest.
