UNIONDALE, New York (Ticker) -- The New York Islanders on Monday recalled center Mike Sillinger from Bridgeport of the American Hockey League.
The 37-year-old Sillinger has missed the Islanders' first 24 games this season as well as the last 29 contests in the 2007-08 campaign while recovering from microfracture hip surgery.
Sillinger has recorded 38 goals and 45 assists in 134 games with the Islanders.
The 18-year veteran has played in 1,042 career NHL games, notching 238 goals, 308 assists and 644 penalty minutes.
Also on Monday, the Islanders sent right wing Tim Jackman and center Jeremy Colliton to Bridgeport.
Jackman recorded one goal, one assist and 22 penalty minutes in 11 games with the Islanders this season. The 27-year-old has three tallies, six assists and 126 penalty minutes in 79 career games.
Colliton has one assist and two penalty minutes in five games with New York this season. The 23-year-old has one goal and set up two others in 41 career games.
