Blue Jackets place LW Torres on IR
Dec 2, 2008 - 8:10 PM COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday placed left wing Raffi Torres on injured reserve.The 27-year-old, whose surgically repaired knee is troubling him according to several media reports, is expected to be sidelined at least one week.
Acquired from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for Gilbert Brule this past summer, Torres has one goal and four points in 14 games with Columbus this season.
Torres missed the first 10 games of the season due to a shoulder injury he suffered during a preseason game against Chicago.
