Flyers send LW Gratton to minors
Dec 3, 2008 - 12:45 AM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday assigned left wing Josh Gratton to the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League.Acquired from the Nashville Predators on October 30, Gratton appeared in 11 games with the Flyers this season, posting 31 penalty minutes and a minus-3 rating. The 26-year-old native of Brantford, Ontario recorded 10 penalty minutes in two contests with the Phantoms earlier this campaign after notching two goals, three assists and 10 penalty minutes in seven games with Milwaukee of the AHL.
In 78 career NHL games with the Flyers - who originally signed him in July 2004 - and the Phoenix Coyotes, the 6-2, 214-pound Gratton has registered two goals, one assist and 268 penalty minutes.
