Ducks acquire D Stephenson from Coyotes
Dec 3, 2008 - 11:26 PM ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) - The Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday acquired defenseman Logan Stephenson from the Phoenix Coyotes for left wing Joakim Lindstrom.Stephenson will report directly to the Iowa Chops of the American Hockey League. The 22-year-old, who was a second-round pick of the Coyotes in 2004, has recorded one goal, one assist and 40 penalty minutes in 19 contests with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage this season.
Lindstrom, 24, appeared in 21 games with Iowa this campaign, sharing the team lead with 21 points. The 6-1, 196-pound Swede, who was assigned to San Antonio by the Coyotes, notched three goals and four assists in 25 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2007-08.
Selected in the second round of the 2002 draft by Columbus, Lindstrom has registered four goals and four assists in 37 career contests with the Blue Jackets.
