Devils RW Rolston, C Madden return vs. Flyers

Dec 5, 2008 - 12:09 AM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The New Jersey Devils received an added boost on Thursday.

Right wing Brian Rolston and center John Madden returned to the Devils' lineup against the Atlantic Division rival Philadelphia Flyers.

Rolston missed 18 games with a sprained ankle sustained October 16 in Atlanta, while Madden was sidelined for four contests after being hit in the left foot with a shot by Florida defenseman Nick Boynton on November 20.

A former first-round pick of New Jersey in 1991 who played parts of his first six seasons with the franchise, the 35-year-old Rolston has recorded one goal and one assist in four games this campaign.

Rolston scored 81 goals with New Jersey from 1994-99 before returning to the team as a free agent this offseason.

The 35-year-old Madden has registered three goals and five assists in 18 games this season. Madden has notched 136 tallies and 282 points in 654 contests over his 10-year career with the Devils.
